Let me explain energy level. If the bakugan's doesn't have realism, it's mechanical. The energy level goes down by 1 every ability card or gate card used with that bakugan. If the level hits zero, the bakugan explodes and is deleted from your file. If this happens in a battle, your opponent wins the gate card and you can't replace it during the brawl.
